APO LOGIX - Sulforhodamine Caspase-3 Detection Kit

Apoptosis detection and in situ labelling of active caspase-3 in live cells. This kit labels active caspase-3 in living cells undergoing apoptosis, by utilizing sulforhodamine (SR)-labelled fluoromethylketone (FMK) peptidic caspase inhibitor (SR-DEVD-FMK), which arrests further apoptotic activity via caspase inhibition. The SR-DEVD-FMK compound is both cell-permeable and non-cytotoxic during the course of the assay and thus allows the detection of active caspase-3 in living cell systems. The assay works in diverse cell lines (human, rodent, insect), and can be performed in conjunction with TUNEL, annexin and antibody staining, or with other APO LOGIXä reagents. Application: Fluorescence (excitation at 550 nm and emission at 595 nm) via flow cytometry, microwell plate reader, and microscopy; adaptable for HTS.
