 Immunohistochemistry: LS-B3721 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody LS-D2, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B3721 was determined to be 10 ug/ml. Learn more

SPN / CD43 Antibody Specificity

 

Immunogen:

SPN / CD43 antibody was raised against human T lymphocytes.

 

Specificity:

Recognizes neuraminidase-sensitive epitope on CD43 (Leukosialin), a 95-135 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein (mucin-type) which is involved in lymphocyte activation. CD43 is expressed by platelets and at high levels on the surface of all leukocytes; it is negative on resting B lymphocytes and erythrocytes.
