Description
Retinoic acid receptor beta (RARb, hap, RARe; NR1B2) is closely related to TR. RARs bind to two retinoids, alltrans retinoic acid and 9-cis retinoic acid. RARb is expressed in ovary, uterus, mammary cell lines, adult and fetal spleen. RARs have been associated with several diseases, among which cancer is one of the most important. RARb takes part in apoptosis.
