pbFORMULATION: /b100 ug (0.5 mg/ml) purified goat anti-Annexin VIII polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide./p
pbSPECIES REACTIVITY: /bhuman (reacts with mouse and rat at less extent)/p
pbSTORAGE CONDITIONS: /bStore at -20oC. For long-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -70oC. Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles./p
pbBACKGROUND: /bThe annexin family of calcium-binding proteins is composed of at least ten mammalian genes. It is characterized by a conserved core domain which binds to phospholipids in a Ca2+-dependent manner. It?s unique amino terminal region may confer the binding specificity. Annexin family members have been implicated as regulators of diverse processes as ion flux, endocytosis and exocytosis, and cellular adhesion. Annexin VIII is preferentially expressed in acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) cells which may relate its role in hematopoietic cell differentiation./p
pbSPECIFICITY: /bThe antibody detects 36 kDa human annexin VIII. Cross-reactivity to other species has not been determined./p
pbAPPLICATION AND USAGE: /bThe antibody can be used for Western blotting (1-4 ug/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Other applications have not been determined./p
