Description:
Androstenedione is an endogenous weak androgen steroid hormone and intermediate in the biosynthesis of estrone and of testosterone from dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). It is a precursor of testosterone and other androgens, as well as of Androstenediones like estrone.
