Data and Images | DescriptionApoptosis-inducing factor (AIF) is a mitochondrial protein that translocates to the nucleus upon induction of apoptosis. It has been demonstrated that AIF causes DNA fragmentation and chromatin condensation, and induces the release of cytochrome c and caspase-9 from mitochondria.
